Sam Brown had been the sheriff of Boulder Colorado for the past eight years His nickname was The Shotgun Sheriff because early on as sheriff he found his best persuader was a 12 gauge shot gun Taking notice of some men entering the local bank while leaving another outside holding their horses Sheriff Brown swings into action as the robbers are leaving Apprehending the culprits although they are slightly damaged he recovers the stolen money but is faced with a very unhappy banker Seems the Sheriff managed to put a few shot gun pellets in the walls of the bank banker Greenwald tells Sam in no uncertain terms that he will be advising the town council to fire himSam decides right then there it s time to move on somewhere else His little sister Cora her husband Richard Short live in the nearby town of Denver City so that will be his destination A visit is long overdue as it s been several months since he s seen the family Little does Sam know that his life is about to change drasticallyVery nice yarn with endearing characters that will charm you immediatelyEasily a four star presentation Could have been five stars had it not been for the repetitiveness throughout the story

    What another great novel by Mr Petit I really hated to have this story end For three days I felt like I was part of the Brown family and their adventures Unknown to me initially this novel was one of the first novels written by Mr Petit He did an excellent job The novel is like reading the family history of the Browns The storytelling is great with many twists and turns as usual In addition there is good chara

    I really enjoyed this story it had it all good guys versus bad guys plenty of revenge I liked all the characters at the moment I intended reading all CJ Petit westerns

    The formatting of this story for an eBook leaves a lot to be desired It has no indentation at the beginning of a chapter causing large blocks
