Good read This is the second book I ve read recently where the hero and heroine are separated right after their wedding Things happen like that sometimes This is the dramatic of the two and it begins with their meeting and marriage which is fairly dramatic itself They are forced by bad weather to spend the night together alone in a cottage and when they are discovered the next day the heroine is threatened into marrying the hero The hero had intended to offer for his dead friend s sister to get a wife who will help him live down his parents scandal but now he can t And his new wife comes from a family as scandalous as his own if not so Then he s called away from home to go be a spy in France again because Napoleon escaped Gaston works really hard to make the story about the romance than the history and mostly she succeeds but I would have liked in the part after they reunited The reconciliation felt a little truncated to me If she was that angry with him why would she change so easily But overall I liked the story Good Read
