Part 1 of a new series from Holly HepburnSadie is a single mum nursing a broken heart Cat is burned out from working long hours as a chef They decide to invest in their dream running their own handmade biscuit shop in gorgeous Castle Court a three storey food court tucked away behind Chester s bustling streetsHaving thoroughly enjoyed both The Star and Sixpence and the Picture House by the Sea series I feel disappointed as I am not entirely convinced on this new series but can t really put my finger on way it might be because the book being short spent a lot of time focusing on every single character from Sadie and Cat to every resident of Castle Court instead of perhaps introducing a couple characters in the next storyBy the time I started to actually enjoy the story the book had finished I just hope part 2 picks up where we left off and we start to get a great story

Beautiful indulgent read – as warming as a glass of mulled wine full of delicious detail and with enough flying sparks to rival any fireworks display' Cressida McLaughlin Praise for Holly Hepburn 'Fabulously feel good funny and fresh it will sweep you off your feet' Rowan Coleman 'Pure pleasure a delight from opening credits to closing reel' Julie Cohen'You'll fall in love with this fantastic new series Filled to the brim with captivating characters and fantastic storylines in a gorgeous setting I want to read ' Miranda Dickinson 'Warm witty and laced with intriguing secrets' Cathy Bramle. This is the first part of four novellas that eual one book I have run across this format uite a lot lately which seems strictly British countryside I really don t understand why not write a full novel So I am counting all four of MsHepburn s installments as one book for my challenge which to me seems fair Cat and Sadie are good friends that open a bakery specializing in iced biscuits aka cookies So many things go wrong for them yet they are a great success I found this story very shallow and extremely predictable which was too bad because all the main characters were uite nice except for the ridiculous cliche villains The plot was so predictable I figured EVERYTHING out immediately Meh

This is the first book by Holly Hepburn that I've read but it certainly won't be the last It took me a little while to get in to hence the 4 stars but once i got in to it it was great In this book we're introduced to some fantastic characters and I hope to see of them in the rest of the seriesI won't say any for fear of spoilers but I will say this at the end of the book I wanted to shout at Sadie no Sadie don't do it

I don’t know why I borrowed this book from my public library it’s not my type of book If you like light romances this is right up your alley and you’d probably give it four stars It’s clearly the start of a series and nothing is resolved You need to read the necessary books to find out if the main characters find “true love”

Holly has done it again Another brilliant read Only downside is that I’ve got to wait patiently not my strong point for the next book to come out I love how These storylines make me feel like I’m there right in the heart of the story
